SSL certificates

HTTPS for your website, with Astra’s help.

Buy managed SSL for your Astra hosting service, including installation and automatic certificate replacements. Other hosts and coverage start with a quote.

Sign in, choose your active hosting service, and review the annual price and renewal authorization before payment.

Managed Standard SSL — CAD 29.00 per year

Protect one exact hostname on an active Astra hosting plan. Includes domain validation, installation, HTTPS checks and automatic certificate replacements during the paid year.

Choose your hosting service and review the annual price and renewal authorization before secure payment. Point the domain to its assigned hosting IP first. Other hosts, wildcard certificates and additional hostnames need a separate quote.

Standard SSL

A certificate for your website.

A domain-validated certificate helps browsers establish an encrypted HTTPS connection. Tell us the exact hostname you need to protect, including any www or other subdomains.

  • Domain coverage checked before purchase
  • Domain ownership validation arranged with you
  • Installation scope confirmed for your hosting platform
  • HTTPS checked after installation

Quoted for your setup

Your quote separates the certificate from any setup work and states the currency, applicable taxes, service period and renewal arrangements. Wildcard or multiple-domain coverage can be assessed on request.

Already have HTTPS included with your hosting? We check that first so you can avoid buying a certificate you do not need.

Requesting a quote does not place an order or start a subscription. Certificate orders and automatic payments require your confirmation.

SSL questions

Do I need to host my website with Astra?

Automatic purchase and installation require an active Astra hosting service. You can request a separate quote for a website elsewhere; we check compatibility and access before agreeing to the work.

Does an SSL certificate protect my whole website from attacks?

SSL encrypts the connection and helps browsers verify the hostname. Malware removal, application security, backups and recovery are separate services.

Does a one-year purchase mean one certificate lasts a year?

An individual certificate can expire before the paid service year ends. Managed SSL includes the necessary certificate replacements and installation during that paid year.

Will my certificate renew automatically?

Managed SSL includes automatic certificate replacements during paid coverage. Annual billing renewal requires your checkout authorization and can be turned off in your SSL controls. Quoted services follow their agreed renewal arrangements; an inquiry does not authorize future charges.

What should I include in my request?

Include the hostname, hosting platform, any current certificate expiry date, and whether you need installation. Keep passwords, private keys and API tokens out of the request; we will arrange a suitable access method if needed.
