A domain registration gives you the right to use a name for a fixed term, usually one to five years. When the term ends, the name must be renewed or it lapses and can eventually be registered by someone else.
Search results in the preview are examples. Before a real purchase, availability is rechecked on our servers with the registrar, and you'll be told if a name is no longer free.
After you order
- 1Payment is recorded by our billing system. Payment success is not the same as registration success.
- 2The registrar processes the registration. Most complete within minutes; some endings take longer or require identity checks.
- 3Your dashboard shows the domain as Registering until the registrar confirms it, then Active with the expiry date.
- 4If registration fails, the order shows Provisioning failed and our team follows up. You are not left guessing.
Renewals
Auto-renew is on by default for new registrations. You can turn it off per domain. Renewal prices are shown on every search result and on the pricing page; they can differ from the first-year price.
