These setup instructions apply only to an accepted hosting package shown as available on the Hosting page. Astra website hosting uses a separate cPanel account on Astra’s Namecheap reseller service. You pay Astra and manage access from your dashboard. Package prices, limits, SSL and backup policies are published when that package is available to order.
After hosting activation
- 1Open Hosting in your Astra dashboard, select the service, and choose Open control panel.
- 2Upload your website files using File Manager or use the available WordPress installer. Create any required database within your package limits.
- 3Use Check hosting status to find your website IP. Update website DNS at your DNS provider and preserve existing mail records unless you are also migrating email.
- 4Configure and verify HTTPS in the control panel after DNS resolves. Account activation alone does not mean your website is published.
- 5Manage mailboxes and backup tools in the control panel. Check the package’s actual backup and restoration policy; keep independent exports of your content.
Migration or recovery
Open an Astra support request with the site name and requested work. Agree scope before changing DNS or mail routing. Do not paste passwords, access tokens or secret configuration into a ticket.
